Other Web-Based Resources
I’ve always believed that the sign of a good resource person is one who doesn’t need to recreate the wheel and can point you in the right direction. Here are some web-based resources to assist you with meaningful living and contribution.
The Longevity Game (age/health span calculator)
Having a sense of what your lifespan may be gives my clients a totally different perspective on how they live their lives today and the lifestyle decisions they make. Here is a fun assessment tool that will give you a peek at your future and show you where you can make small changes that will contribute to a longer, healthier, more fulfulling lifestyle.
Here’s another calculator that you can use for a $5 fee. “The Life Expectancy Calculator is a great tool to quickly assess what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong and where you can make important changes. “In terms of living to older age in good health, there is actually a great deal you can do!” Developed by Thomas Perls MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Medicine at Boston University Medical Center and Director of the New England Centenarian Study.
Here’s a resource to explore more possibilities for your present and future. It’s a free on-line resource to match your skills, interests and values with available volunteer opportunities in your community that you may enjoy, where you can begin to more fully express your passions.
Volunteer work is also an excellent way to explore potential avenues for a next full or part-time career without the pressure of paid work.
